Michele Presnell voted for corporate tax breaks over funding our kids' schools. If elected, like you I will put our children's education first.
It is time that we stand with the 60,000+ teachers across our great state to fight for our children's education, and make sure our kids are getting every opportunity for future success
As the daughter of a local mill worker, I know that college isn't for everyone. I will vote to support job training programs in our high schools and community colleges, to help young people prepare for good-paying jobs right here at home.
We must fund our children, the future of our state, by stopping the disintegration of our Public School Systems.
Health insurance companies should cover people with pre-existing conditions. As a Type 1 Diabetic I can relate to those that rely on medications to survive. I will go to Raleigh and fight to reduce our medical costs.
We must maintain our families’ safety and health with no cost to our communities, our quality of life depends on it.

Rhonda Cole Schandevel was born and raised in Canton, North Carolina and has had mountain integrity instilled in her from birth. Rhonda’s values are guided by her constant faith through the good times and the bad. These beliefs, have been nurtured by her blue collar mill family, her church congregation, and so many folks of the Beaverdam community.
